If you had an experience where you learned 3 things about yourself in just a few minutes, what would YOUR three be? What would you consider doing – or doing differently – if you had the opportunity to question yourself with this: “What IS my best?” Here are three things that Ric Elias says he learned on January 15th, 2009.

1. It all changes in an instant.
2. I allowed my ego to get in my way.
3. I only wish I could see my kids grow up.

I first saw this TED talk one morning in New York City while exercising the morning before an important presentation to a group of investment bankers. While I was “elliptical-ing” along, I remember asking myself: “What is my best?”

What will it take for you to uplevel your best…to take all the goodness, greatness and comfortable-ness that you’re experiencing now and move it up a notch? Consider the next week, just 5 days really, and ask yourself to push it just a little bit further. There are so many ways to move the dial… you could read an extra chapter of a book, take one other person out for a coffee or lunch, even attend an online webinar.

Don’t have a lot of time, or a lot of money? It’s ok, jump over and just watch one of these at poptech.org or ted.com.
